By now, you’ve probably heard about our popular Mobile Video Production workshop in which we teach how to enhance the quality of your mobile photos and videos.
Each year, exciting new apps emerge to help you create awesome video content. If you haven’t worked professional video into your budget, mobile video content is a great way to launch such marketing.
Here are three fun, mobile video and photo apps that you should try this year. Easy to learn and use, they have multiple templates and are great for creating social video content quickly. We let you know how much they cost and whether they’re available on iOs, Android or both:
This iOS-only app has a free option and a premium one to which you can subscribe for $3.99 a month. The premium version gives you access to extra features such as filters and video transitions. With Videoleap, you can create and composite projects that include images, effects and text, and reorder them in whatever way you like. Once you’re familiar with the app, you can use its high-end tools such as green screen compositing. Special effects options and in-app stock footage are available.

2) Hype Type
Easy Tiger Apps’ description of this begins, “Hype your stories with automatically styled and designed motion typography.” Hype Type lets you add text and music, include text with different fonts and resize content based on where you will share the video or photo (such as Instagram or Snapchat). You can edit your video in one of the apps cited here, then upload it to Hype Type for easy upgrading and resizing. You can do this with photos, too.
- iOS and Android
This robust tool allows you to edit photos on your phone in a simple, easy-to-use app. PicsArt is an all-in-one creative suite that includes a photo editor that lets you create cutouts, crop, stretch, clone, add text and adjust curves. It also has a full library of artistic photo filters (including HDR), frames, backgrounds, borders, callouts and more.
- iOS and Android
Once you become familiar with two of these apps, you can use them together to create something fun that remains in line with your overall brand. Don’t be afraid to get creative.
